At Compton Dundon School, the Health, safety and wellbeing of every child is our top priority. We expect all staff and volunteers and visitors to share this commitment to safeguarding our pupils. We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us. All School staff are trained in child protection and safeguarding and children are made aware of the adults they can talk to if they have any concerns. Staff are trained to look out for signs of physical/emotional harm or neglect and are required to report these to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Mr. Lloyd James, or his Deputy DSLs, Mr Jon Lloyd or Mrs Sharon Love.
The procedures that we follow have been laid down by Somerset Safeguarding Partnership and the school has adopted a child protection and safeguarding policy based on their guidance. If you have a concern about a child within our school please inform either Mr. James, Mr. Lloyd or Mrs Love at the school.
If you have a concern about the safety or welfare of a child outside of our school hours or term time, please email admin@propeleducation.co.uk (this will be checked regularly after hours and during holidays)or inform Somerset Safeguarding Partnership on 0300 123 2224 or email on childrens@somerset.gov.uk.
